Richard L. Thomas

Richard is a viticulture consultant, as well as a teacher and director of viticulture for Santa Rosa Junior College. Thomas developed the state’s first full-time viticulture program at the community college level, and in 2002, was honored by SRJC’s construction of the “Richard L. Thomas Viticulture Classroom.” In addition to winning numerous awards and accolades in his field, Thomas is active with the Sonoma County Grape Growers Association and the Sonoma County Vineyard Technical Group. He also serves as a professional wine judge for the Sonoma County Harvest Fair, the San Francisco Chronicle and for New York’s International Eastern Wine Competition.
