Bank of Marin Steps Up as First Corporate Sponsor for San Rafael Pacifics Baseball Team

Bank of Marin Teams Up with San Rafael Pacifics Looks to Hit Home Run with Key Sponsorship of New Local Baseball Team   NOVATO, CA - (March 29, 2012) – Bank of Marin has signed a corporate sponsorship deal with the San Rafael Pacifics, California’s only professional independent team. The deal makes Bank of Marin the first major sponsor for the team’s inaugural season leading off with Opening Day on June 4th.   “We are very grateful to Bank of Marin for stepping up to the plate to be the first corporate sponsor for the Pacifics this season,” said Mike Shapiro, President and General Manager. “We are going to rely heavily on the Marin community for support and are thrilled to welcome Bank of Marin to our team.”     Terms of the Bank of the Marin deal include on-field signage and ongoing advertising in the team program, opportunities for employee and customer entertainment at the ballpark, and interaction with the team at local Bank of Marin branches, including hosting the Pacifics “Caravan” at several of the Bank’s branches in May. These events will be open to the public.   Bank of Marin will also host a customer party in June at a home game with Bank of Marin President & CEO Russell Colombo throwing out the first pitch.   “Bank of Marin is thrilled to welcome the Pacifics to Marin and we couldn’t be more excited to support the team in their inaugural season,” said Russell A. Colombo, President and CEO of Bank of Marin. “Baseball is such a wonderful sport to bring families and communities together, and as a long-time San Rafael resident and baseball fan, it’s a dream come true to have a professional team in our backyard.”   The Pacifics will play 42 home games in the 750-seat facility at Albert Park in downtown San Rafael between June 4 and August 26.
