2010 Best Hotel for Business Guests

The Hyatt Vineyard Creek Hotel and Spa in Santa Rosa is a hit with business guests because it combines the beauty of a secluded Tuscan villa with the conveniences someone traveling on business needs, including Wi-Fi and wired Internet access in every one of the hotel’s 155 newly restyled guestrooms and suites.

“[It] offers business travelers everything they need for a comfortable stay,” details Gary Collins, the hotel’s director of sales and marketing, “and most of the things they always wished they had.”
The hotel was entirely updated in 2009. Guest rooms have windows that open, 37-inch HD flat-screen televisions, granite bathrooms, work desks with ergonomic chairs and a sitting area. Guests receive a daily Wall Street Journal or USA Today.
Then there’s the 40,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor space for meetings and other types of corporate events, along with access to meeting, event and even wedding planners to make the most of the space.
Of further interest to business guests is Hyatt’s awards points program, called Passport, which rewards frequent visitors with gifts and worldwide stay options.
The Hyatt Vineyard Creek also offers a direct reservation line (707) 636-7174 to a personal business travel manager who will handle room reservations and any special needs, part of what Collins describes as “that personal recognition and touch that makes Hyatt famous around the world.”
But it’s also Hyatt’s central location in Sonoma County, next to Railroad Square, that makes it a draw.
“It’s ideal for easy access to work offices or client locations,” says Collins. “The Hyatt is within a 10-minute drive to companies such as Medtronic, Agilent Technologies, Sutter Medical, Kaiser Permanente, all downtown financial and government buildings and many Santa Rosa law offices.”
Once the work day is done, Hyatt’s many amenities stand out, from its award-winning Brasserie Restaurant and Lounge, which features fresh regional ingredients with a distinct Wine Country flair and offers indoor and outdoor dining; an outdoor fire pit; full-service spa; 24-hour-access exercise facility; computer room; concierge service; and lush plantings of roses, wisteria and lavender that let visitors truly get away.
