2011 Best Insurance Broker Vantreo Insurance Brok

Vantreo Insurance Brokerage has been voted Best Sauvignon Blanc in the 2011 NorthBay biz readers poll.

Providing client solutions is a key objective at Santa Rosa-based Vantreo Insurance Brokerage. This is achieved in unique and powerful ways. It appears that few insurance firms come close to providing the workers compensation coaching, industry association advantages, leadership workshops and online resources available through Vantreo. Its team creates insurance and risk management solutions that go beyond the insurance policy and become an integral part of its clients’ corporate culture. These solutions are supported by a deeply instilled ethic of customer service.

President Lynne Wallace says, “This philosophy lets us satisfy client needs for businesses of all sizes.” This is no doubt one of the reasons the company was selected by NorthBay biz readers as Best Insurance Agency for the second year in a row and Best Place to Work by the North Bay Business Journal for three years in a row.

Vantreo’s strength comes from the team’s experience, deep knowledge and expertise. Tim Chanter, executive vice president and firm principal, says, “There’s more than 500 years of professional expertise within Vantreo.” And with experience comes industry specialization. For Vantreo, that includes real estate, wine business, health care, manufacturing, retail, hospitality, construction and professional services.

The Vantreo approach to improving protection and finding savings potential has made a big impact for Sonoma County wine businesses. Vice president and team leader Pam Chanter, along with associates Joe Sucatre and Chuck Hughes, have improved insurance coverage and reduced cost for more than 19 wineries in the past four months. Vantreo is currently exclusively endorsed by Sonoma County Vintners Association, Wine Growers of Dry Creek Valley, Sonoma Valley Vintners Association, Alexander Valley Winegrowers and Wine Road Northern Sonoma County. The team recently completed the UC Davis Extension Course “Health and Safety for Winery Operations” and earned the Nationwide Agribusiness Farm certification. As Pam Chanter puts it, “We want to be the best, so we’re most able to help our clients be successful in their industry. Being truly qualified and offering exclusive products and services sets us apart.”

Last year, Vantreo was exclusively endorsed by 101MFG, the local manufacturing industry group, after an extensive brokerage selection process. This program is led by Mike Lopez. In the initial beta test, Vantreo was able to locate more than $600,000 in savings potential for just nine manufacturers. The survey included property/casualty, workers compensation and employee benefit coverage lines. Vantreo is also endorsed by the Golden Gate Restaurant Association.

To support its industry focus, Vantreo has divisions that further funnel expertise. Its CompZone division lowers workers compensation cost and keeps it low. Headed by David Weinstein, it bridges the gap between insurance, human resources and safety. The BenefitsRx division, headed by Terry DeDecker, helps businesses become “employer of choice” in their industry as it relates to their employee benefit plans. The At Home division, headed by Erin Temple, provides personal insurance solutions that combine speed, personal service and excellent pricing whether for one home and car or to insure a portfolio of homes, automobiles, yachts and a broad range of individual liability exposures. Other divisions include: Premier Commercial for the larger-risk exposures; and Financial Services, which encompasses long-term care, estate planning and business buy-sell life and disability products.

The Vantreo team doesn’t create the results it does by working alone. It partners with a long list of top insurance carriers to protect its clients. “Building trust with our carriers is critical for the placement and protection of our clients and for the sustainability of those clients,” says Tim Chanter.

All the associates at Vantreo are honored by this award and appreciate NorthBay biz for asking its readers’ opinion.
