2012 Best Hotel for Business Guests Fountaingrove

When selecting accommodations for your important business guests, there are many factors to consider. You may be looking for a hotel with a convenient location, luxurious rooms and all the high-tech business services your guests might want. Most important, you need a place you can trust to take exceptional care of them. All of this explains why Santa Rosa’s Fountaingrove Inn was voted Best Hotel for Business Guests this year, an award it’s received many times.
“We do cater to the corporate traveler,” says Debi Dobley, director of sales and marketing at Fountaingrove Inn. “It starts with the reception from our front desk staff, who take note of our guests’ preferences to anticipate their needs.” If a traveler has requested a particular view or room location in the past, that preference will be recorded to enhance future stays. Business travelers can earn points for repeat visits through the nationwide Stash hotel rewards program. The hotel also offers a corporate rate program that provides discounted room rates to businesses based on use.
Built in 1986, the 124-room hotel received an addition in 1998, when the conference center and more guest rooms were added. In 2007, it underwent a complete renovation. Since its arrival, the conference center has been a popular spot for business and social events of all kinds. It contains a variety of meeting spaces, from a ballroom that accommodates 350 to an intimate wine bar room that seats 20. The staff can help secure most audio-visual and other business aids necessary to help meetings go off without a hitch. And all areas of the hotel, from the business center to individual guest rooms, are Wi-Fi enabled, so guests can work wherever and whenever they need to.
Dobley says the hotel’s owners and staff strive to stay ahead of the fast-changing technological needs of today’s business traveler. “Every year, we try to think of ways we can improve the property, and part of that process is determining what guests are going to need in the future,” she says.
As a luxury hotel in the heart of Wine Country, though, Fountaingrove Inn isn’t all about business. Both business and leisure guests appreciate the Sealy pillow-top mattresses and high thread count linens found in the guest rooms, along with the black granite and natural stone surfaces in the guest bathrooms. In addition to the outdoor heated lap pool, whirlpool spa and sundeck, hotel guests have access to the links at the private Fountaingrove Golf Course. And whether they’ve finished a long round of meetings or a long round of golf, all guests can look forward to returning to Equus Restaurant and Loungebar for dinner. Equus is a sleek and sophisticated spot to enjoy seasonal, California fusion cuisine. The restaurant recently purchased a smoker from Michigan and is now offering a special barbecue menu on Sunday, Monday and Wednesday nights.
Dobley says the entire staff is honored to be recognized by the readers of NorthBay biz. Whether you’re planning a conference for 200 or a staycation for two, Fountaingrove Inn is eager to exceed your expectations.
