By welcoming TLT into SAY (all three TLT employees are now on the SAY payroll, and some board members have joined as well), both organizations can share administrative costs and work together to empower and inspire the next generation. “Tomorrow’s Leaders Today has a long history of empowering Sonoma County’s youth and encouraging them to become thoughtful, engaged citizens,” said Matt Martin, SAY executive director, when announcing the merger. “Their program is a great fit for our organization and will bring a strong element of youth-helping-youth to SAY.”
Banking on Our Future
The Banking on Our Future curriculum uses hands-on calculations and real-world examples to teach about budgeting, checking and savings accounts, and the fundamentals of credit, saving and investing.
“It’s been gratifying to see the students engage in this curriculum each week,” says Fedorchak. “We’re excited to return to teach even more elementary school students Operation HOPE’s Banking on Our Future program. We remain committed to providing financial education through volunteer service.”
