2015 BEST Insurance Brokerage George Petersen Ins

“We’ve continually been reinvesting in the company by bringing in new employees and new perspectives.” —Robb Daer

With a large involvement in the community and the ability to provide the commitment needed by its clients, George Petersen Insurance Agency remains the Best Insurance Brokerage for the third year in a row. “It’s an honor and a privilege,” says Partner Robb Daer. “We couldn’t have done it without the dedication of our staff.”

After being established in Eureka in 1935, the insurance agency was able to expand and opened an office in Santa Rosa in 1976. The company still remains one of the largest independently owned agencies in the North Bay. George Petersen Insurance now has eight locations in California that offer various types of insurance services. “We do the best job we can for our clients,” says Daer, “It’s been instilled in all of our employees to take great care of each and every one of them.” He explains that communication plays a large role in making sure everyone is working toward the same goals when it comes client’s needs. The relationship that the company has established with its clients plays a vital role in its success.

One of the biggest accomplishments the company has seen in the last year has been its ability to grow. “We’ve continually been reinvesting in the company by bringing in new employees and new perspectives. We’re always looking for improvements,” says Daer. Most employees have long-term involvement and many opportunities to expand within the company.

Being fully devoted to client’s needs and expectations isn’t the only thing the company is committed to. “One thing we remain very passionate about is our involvement in the community with multiple nonprofit organizations,” says Daer. The George Petersen Charitable Contributions Committee is supportive in organizations such as the Redwood Empire Food Bank, Rotary Club of Santa Rosa and Challenger Division Little League games for children who are mentally and/or physically disabled. “We take the whole day to umpire for the children. It’s an amazing thing to see and absolutely great for the kids,” says Daer, “Being this involved with the community is very important to us.” The insurance agency is involved with 17 nonprofit organizations just in its Santa Rosa location.

The company will continue to stay deeply rooted in the community with its charitable work and full commitment to its clients and their specific needs. Daer is excited that in the upcoming year, the company will be presenting some of these new ideas.
