There Oughta Be a Law
To avoid unnecessary fines and legal fees, please memorize the laws below when visiting the state or specific city in California. They could save your wallet—and, ultimately, your life.
State laws
Shooting any animal from a moving vehicle, with the exception of whales, is a misdemeanor. Shooting a whale under any circumstance is illegal and makes you a horrible person.
Bathhouses in California were classified illegal in the 1980s during the AIDS scare, as they were used frequently for anonymous sex. The law has yet to be repealed.
City laws
Section 8-410 of Fresno’s city laws state it’s illegal to annoy lizards in city parks. You have been warned.
