Happiness, not just economic growth, is increasingly seen as a proper measure of social progress and the advised goal of social policy. According to the World Happiness Report 2017, the Norwegians are the happiest people on the planet, followed by the Danish and Icelandic. What the Nordic countries have in common is a rather even distribution of wealth.

The Highest Paying Companies
The tech companies’ ongoing quest and competition for talent shows in the salaries they’re paying. This sector clearly dominates the top 10 of best paying U.S. companies compiled by Glassdoor. Seven out of ten firms featured on the list are in the tech biz. However, the top two are consulting firms, which reflects the high entry barriers to the top jobs as those firms seek candidates who bring with them their personal contacts and have forged their own reputations.
