2018 BEST Hotel For Business Hyatt Regency Sonoma

“Our meetings space, coupled with the renovation that took place, makes us the ideal location to host a meeting.”—Jennifer Richards, general manager

This year is not the first time the Hyatt Regency Sonoma Wine Country has been awarded “best hotel for business.” Located on Railroad Square in Santa Rosa, the recently renovated hotel has claimed the title again this year. The extensive renovations completed in 2017 include a brand new lobby and newly transformed guestrooms.

The completion of the new redesigned guest rooms and meeting space was completed this past summer,” says Jennifer Richards, general manager of the Hyatt Regency Sonoma Wine Country. “Designed with the leisure and corporate traveler in mind, the redesign guestrooms reflect the modern casual elegance of the region. Other features are in-room desks, 65” TV and USB ports/outlets next each bed, and signature Grand Hyatt beds,” says Richards. “Upon the completion of the redesign hotel, we have changed our name from Hyatt Regency and are now the Hyatt Regency Sonoma Wine Country.”

The hotel offers 155 guest rooms and suites. In June, the hotel will open the tower, which will add an additional 89 guest rooms and the restaurant will reopen after having been renovated. The full service restaurant and lounge onsite will offer farm-to-table menus.

Hyatt Regency Sonoma Wine Country’s style depicts the romance and charm of a Tuscan villa with a central location that offers easy access to the coast, wineries, breweries and within walking distance to 12 restaurants, shops, and a wine tasting room. The hotel is also conveniently located near the downtown Santa Rosa SMART station, further extending the accessibility throughout the county and Marin.

“Our modern meeting facilities are designed for attendees to share, socialize and collaborate together,” says Richards. “We have 20,000 square feet of indoor meeting space and an additional 20,000 square feet of outdoor space. Our flexible space, natural light in most of the meeting rooms, and dynamic team of associates, deliver a great experience from the point of booking through the execution of the event.”

The 40,000 square feet of space is spread throughout fifteen function rooms and three ballrooms, which can accommodate everything from corporate meetings and conventions, to weddings and birthdays. Most rooms have direct access to patios and lawns and the hotel offers meeting and event planners to assist customers in planning the entirety of their event. Visitors also receive complimentary use of a computer room with computer and printer, and there is complete audio-visual equipment available with on-site experts.

With reviewers raving “one of the best hotel stays ever,” “relaxing wine country stay,” and “great location, beautiful hotel,” it’s clear that hotel guests agree. The hotel estimates that about 60 percent of their customers are there for business. Whether for business or pleasure, customers enjoy the 10-foot crystal fire pit, complimentary WiFi, local wine tasting in the lobby, and the Jacuzzi and heated pool for relaxing.
