Embassy Suites Hotel
“We feel that this community is our family, and to be recognized for excellence by our family is an incredible feeling.”—Shawn Milburn, general manager
The readers of NorthBay biz magazine have spoken, and Embassy Suites San Rafael has been voted as the Best Company to Do Business with in Marin County for 2019. The name Embassy Suites isn’t just a moniker, with every room having a living area separate from the bedroom with a desk, sofa, state-of-the-art television and WiFi.
But there’s more to Embassy Suites than its plush rooms. What does it take to be a cut above the rest? “Definitely our team,” says Shawn Milburn, general manager. “We have a group who truly understands the meaning of the word “hospitality,” and who enjoy providing memorable experiences for guests from all over the world. Our secret is to empower our associates to take care of our guests. It’s an integral part of our culture of excellence.”
The hotel, conveniently located near the Marin Convention Center, is working to preserve its standards. It’s undergoing renovations to improve accommodations for guests, according to Milburn. “We are currently painting the exterior, but that only begins what will be an eight-month project to revitalize every component of our beloved hotel. Guest Suites will be completely new, all food-and-beverage spaces will be transformed, and our iconic atrium will be become one of the nicest in the United States.”
Embassy Suites already features its 24-hour Business Link Business Center, with Internet and printing access. There are meeting and event spaces as well, with a 500-person capacity ballroom. Other popular aspects include the tropical atrium and waterfall, along with a heated indoor pool, hot tub and fitness center with cardio equipment and weights. Rounding out the impressive list of perks are the complimentary, made-to-order breakfast and the Grille 101 Restaurant.
There are ample reasons for readers of NorthBay biz to love Embassy Suites, based on its quality establishment alone. But when the 2017 North Bay wildfires spread, Embassy Suites provided shelter and meals for victims, earning recognition from the Bay Area Air Quality Management District. “We are proud to be a part of Marin County, and have made it our mission to ensure that we do our best to give back to the community that has supported us for so many years” says Milburn.
Embassy Suites serves not only locals, but acts as an oasis for tourists, allowing them to enjoy the best food, sights, outdoor activities and shopping Marin County and the surrounding areas have to offer, in turn benefiting the multitude of businesses around the luxury hotel and the greater North Bay. Embassy Suites has been one of Marin County’s shining stars for years, and with its renovations scheduled to be completed in January, the Suite experience will become even more spectacular. “Our team is eager to continue our soon-to-be, 30-year history of providing hospitality to our extended family in the North Bay, with what we believe is the best team in the Bay Area. We feel that this community is our family, and to be recognized for excellence by our family is an incredible feeling.”
