Pat Kerrigan retires from KSRO

Pat resumed her radio career at KSRO in 2016 after taking a break to care for her elderly parents. She had previously held morning show host and co-host positions at North Bay stations including KZST, the former Q-105 and 97.7 The River. A San Francisco native, Pat grew up in Novato and attended San Marin High School. She came to Sonoma County in 1980 to launch her career in broadcasting.

Pat’s tireless reporting and calming on air presence won countless accolades for herself and KSRO, including two Marconi Awards, during the 2017 wildfires and their aftermath, through subsequent fire and flood seasons, the coronavirus pandemic and more.

KSRO’s status as the source for both dependable information and comforting companionship was elevated to a new level during Pat’s tenure, and Pat became an important local resource, making numerous public appearances in connection with the region’s recovery efforts.

We thank her for her enormous contributions to our company and to the community. We will miss her and wish her a healthy, prosperous future.

A search is now underway for the next host of Sonoma County’s Morning News on KSRO. Wherever that search takes us, the program will continue to be live, local and focused on Sonoma County and the North Bay.
