SANTA ROSA, CA – Three new vaccination centers will open within the next eight days in Sonoma County, serving residents 70 and older, bringing to 19 the number of clinics being supported this week by vaccines from the County of Sonoma Department of Health Services.

One new clinic is scheduled to open at the Petaluma campus of Santa Rosa Junior College campus on Tuesday while another clinic will open the following day at the Huerta Gym in Windsor. A clinic also is scheduled to open at the Sonoma Valley Veterans Memorial Hall beginning on Tuesday, Feb. 16, in partnership with the Sonoma Valley Community Health Center.

As announced last week, 11 Safeway stores across Sonoma County are now scheduling appointments for eligible residents. In addition, CVS Health has said that it will start administering vaccines to eligible populations at CVS Pharmacy locations in 100 communities across California, including the City of Sonoma. CVS has said that vaccinations will start in Sonoma at 201 W Napa St. Suite 35 on Thursday, Feb. 11 while appointments will become available for booking as early as Tuesday, Feb. 9.
