New Frontier Wine Co. Tasting Lounge in Napa

A St. Helena and Napa-based wine producer and importer, New Frontier Wine Co., opened a tasting lounge in downtown Napa in April, showcasing wines in the company’s portfolio. “What makes this place unique is the relaxed atmosphere we’re trying to create,” said Jim Silver, managing director of Ren Acquisition and New Frontier, in a statement. “The luxury consumer is changing. They are self-selecting where they feel welcomed, and we want to give sophisticated Napa Valley visitors a very comfortable place to land and explore wines on their terms—a club room of their own.”

The concept for the lounge was inspired by brand planning by WineGlass Marketing and was brought to life by a partnership between New Frontier and Rejuvenation, an American manufacturer and marketer of home furnishings from Portland, Ore.

The lounge will offer tasting flights and wine by the glass from their portfolio of wines from Napa, Sonoma and Amador, as well as include their imports from Mendoza and Patagonia, Argentina, Uruguay, Australia and France. Located on Main Street Napa, the lounge is open seven days a week from 12 to 7 p.m. Reservations are not required, but are recommended for parties with more than six people. CK Mondavi and Family: New Spring 2022 Releases

CK Mondavi and Family recently introduced two bold wines to its lineup of easy-to-love, easy-to-find offerings—Buttery Chardonnay and Dark Cabernet Sauvignon are available nationwide. “We’re excited to highlight multiple expressions of these popular varietals and to give our fans more options to explore,” said Head Winemaker Randy Herron of CK Mondavi and Family in a statement.

The Buttery Chardonnay has aromas of fresh citrus and melted butter, and flavors of vanilla and buttercream. Malolactic fermentation leads to the rich, creamy flavor and lush finish, while the oak regime brings out notes of maple and brown sugar. It also features a thermochromic label, which changes color from cream to golden yellow when perfectly chilled at approximately 55 degrees Fahrenheit.

Ruby red in color, the Dark Cabernet Sauvignon makes a statement with vibrant black fruit character and notes of mocha and coffee. A full-bodied wine, it ends with a plush, velvety finish.

In addition to the new Buttery Chardonnay and Dark Cabernet Sauvignon, the complete CK Mondavi and Family collection include Moscato, Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Red Blend, all available nationwide for a suggested retail price of $6.99 for a 750 ml bottle and $13.99 for a 1.5L magnum.
