Fire Safe Marin presents the County of Marin’s first-ever wildfire prevention festival, Ember Stomp! at the Marin Civic Center Island from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on May 28, 2022.

This free event offers fun for the whole family. Live music, food trucks and firefighting goats provide the festive atmosphere for this celebration of wildfire prevention efforts. There will be storytellers, musicians and interactive games throughout the island to get everyone involved in how to become a fire-adapted community.

Festival-goers are invited to learn how to create a beautiful and fire smart yard at the 40 Ft. “Demonstration Garden” and to harden their homes at the “Firewise Model House.” Nurseries and firewise vendors will showcase their fire-resistant offerings and services.

The whole fire prevention community will come together at Ember Stomp! to demonstrate how to adapt to wildfire and save Marin. Firefighters and prevention specialists will be ready to help answer questions. Representatives from Parks and Open Space, the Marin Water District, Emergency Services, Marin Center for Independent Living and environmental groups are among the many community organizations who will make this day a show of solidarity to protect Marin.

Sponsored by Silicon Valley Community Foundation, Carey Hagglund Condy Team, Marin Community Foundation, Fire Aside, West Marin Compost, Marin Realtors Association, Bay Area Air Quality Management District, Marin County Sustainability Team and private residents.
