Clink. Clink. Abstract Ice, a North Bay startup, is inspiring people to make their cocktails—or mocktails—more intriguing by offering a selection of craft ice. Founded by Lagunitas Brewing Company leaders, including Todd Stevenson, Abstract Ice puts the spotlight on craft ice.
There are eight varieties, including: The Rock (a slow-melting, two-inch cube), an Infinity Sphere (a large sphere that fits into an old fashioned or rocks glass), Orbs (crystal clear mini spheres), as well as the Floral Collection (medium spheres that feature fresh, edible flowers) and Essences (small cubes with whole raspberries, lime wedges and ginger-root slices) and more.
The cubes are fun and whimsical, slow-melting and offer endless opportunities to mix and match, and get creative. Abstract Ice can be found at stores in Petaluma, Santa Rosa, Mill Valley, Sausalito, Greenbrae and San Francisco. For more information, visit abstractice.com.
