Lynyrd Skynyrd, Brothers Osborne to Headline Country Summer

Lynyrd Skynyrd at the 2019 Hellfest in France.

Lynyrd Skynyrd, the southern rockers known for such classic-rock staples as “Free Bird” and “Sweet Home Alabama,” has been named among the headliners of the 2023 Country Summer festival in Santa Rosa.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame-inducted band has been active for more than 50 years and has 14 studio albums to their credit. “Tuesday’s Gone,” “Gimme Three Steps” and “That Smell” are among several songs that enjoyed extensive airplay in the 1970s.

The festival runs June 16 to 18 at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds.

Also headlining the three-day festival is the Brothers Osborne, Grammy winners as Best Country Duo/Group Performance at the annual music-industry awards ceremony earlier this year. Multi-award-winning singer Eric Church will also take the stage at Country Summer, as had been previously announced.

The festival will feature more than 20 performers on two stages throughout the weekend, including Tyler Farr, The Cadillac Three, Lee Brice, Matt Stell, Josh Gracin, Tenille Townes, Ella Langley, Ashland Craft, Kassi Ashton, Lewis Brice and Halle Kearns. The festival is a collaboration between Amaturo Sonoma Media Group—owner of country radio station Froggy 92.9 FM—and Impact Entertainment.

Three-day passes to the 2023 festival, starting from $279 plus fees, are on sale now. To purchase three-day passes, visit countrysummer.com or call 800-514-3849. For updates on the festival, checkout facebook.com/countrysummer.
