Sonoma County, in partnership with local health care providers and community organizations, is hosting a Health Resource Fair on Saturday April 8 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Mitote Food Park at 635 Sebastopol Road in Santa Rosa.
The Health Resource Fair will provide support, information and resources concerning a variety of health and safety issues, including COVID-19, women’s health, nutrition, diabetes, poison control, tobacco use and disaster preparedness. The fair is free to the public and visitors can receive services such as blood pressure and random glucose screening, acupuncture, and assistance signing up for Medi-Cal, MediCare and CalFresh. COVID-19 at-home tests will be distributed by the Sonoma County Department of Health Services, however no vaccine shots will be available.
The family-friendly event includes activities for children, such as an appearance by the Easter Bunny, book borrowing from Sonoma County Library’s BiblioBus, origami instruction and giveaways by event sponsors. Participating community partners include Santa Rosa Community Health, Mujeres Unidas, Jewish Community Free Clinic, Partnership HealthPlan of California, Sutter Health, Kaiser Permanente, Providence Health & Services, Aliados Health, WIC, AAPI Coalition of Sonoma County, Japanese American Citizens League, Regional Pacific Islander Taskforce, UCSF Community Engagement, United Way, Santa Rosa Fire Department, Center for Wellbeing, Community Child Care Council (4Cs), Roseland CBI, Social Advocates for Youth and more.
