Kaiser Permanente has been serving the North Bay for more than 40 years and is proud of providing high-quality, affordable health care for members, patients and the community at large. It’s no wonder that biz readers voted Kaiser Permanente Best Health Care Provider.

As a leading health care entity in the nation, Kaiser leverages the innovation and strength of its size and scale, while still being deeply embedded in the areas it serves, ensuring it is sensitive to residents’ unique needs.
“Our specialty centers of excellence continuously achieve high-quality outcomes, ensuring value-based care for our members,” says Abhishek Dosi, senior vice president area manager of the Santa Rosa Service Area. “But ultimately, health care is people taking care of people. Our people are outstanding, they are talented, dedicated and strive for excellence in every interaction. It is what differentiates us.”
At Kaiser Permanente, the daily focus is on creating better access and improving service, safety and quality of care delivered. This past year, it was honored with numerous recognitions that point to providing a consistently safe, high-quality and caring environment. The Santa Rosa, Napa-Solano and San Rafael Service Areas all received an “A” grade by the Leapfrog Group for providing safe patient care.

“It is an honor to be recognized by the patients and members we serve,” says Dr. Chris Walker, physician in chief for Kaiser Permanente in Napa Solano. “We appreciate the trust they place in us to meet their health care needs. Our doctors, nurses and front-line staff are committed to providing an excellent patient-care experience.”

Kaiser is upping its commitment to reducing its carbon footprint and has pledged to achieve carbon positive status by 2025. This includes using renewable energy sources at medical offices, installing solar panels and using carbon offsets.
Kaiser Permanente also maintains deep partnerships in the communities it serves to advance health equity by funding community-based organizations that strive to increase access to culturally responsive behavioral health providers; address the need for more affordable housing; and work alongside community clinics and other local health systems to provide treatment and care to the uninsured.
“Our physicians, nurses and staff are dedicated to providing high-quality patient care, defined by dignity and excellence,” says Tarek Salaway, senior vice president and area manager for Kaiser Permanente’s Golden Gate service area. “This award is a deeply meaningful reflection of our commitment to the health and well-being of the communities we serve across the North Bay.”
With providers and staff who are deeply committed to bringing compassion and expertise to their work with patients and area organizations, Kaiser Permanente truly is a part of the fabric of the communities it serves.
