Grease the wheels on those humongous shopping carts, Napa... Costco has arrived.
Napa residents’ desire for bulk 2-ply toilet paper and not-half-bad cases of 1.5-liter Kirkland cab has finally been quenched. The long-awaited Costco has opened.
The new membership-driven bulk retail chain at Kaiser Road and Riversound Way opened Oct. 18 to long lines of eager Costco enthusiasts from throughout the North Bay. The 157,000-square-foot warehouse is adjacent to the Napa River at the former site of the Napa Pipe plant. Only now, instead of underground infrastructure, the 154-acre property is producing great deals on frozen pasta and $1.50 hot dogs.
Like other Costcos, the Napa site offers groceries, household items and features a gas station, tire department, food court, pharmacy and optical center.
Current hours of operation are Monday to Friday,10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.; Saturday, 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Sunday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
