Number of Hooters restaurants (out of 420 worldwide) to be sold off following the Chapter 11 bankruptcy of HOA Restaurant Group, the latest casual dining restaurant chain to file for such protection following TGI Fridays, Red Lobster and others. Hooters has over the years settled several discrimination lawsuits, including a $250,000 payout in 2024 following legal action by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
