Looking for a way to steadily improve your golf game—maybe even compare yourself with your friends or against the pros? Game Golf consists of a small, wearable device (it fits easily on your waistband) and tags that you install into the grips of your clubs. During your round, simply tap the tags against the device before each shot.The company’s Web and mobile interfaces will display your game using a map view of the golf course that shows shot locations and distances. Share rounds, stats, records and more with the Game Golf community and your friends on Facebook and Twitter. All statistical parts of your game are recorded, calculated and displayed as trends over time, so learning about and improving your game is based on facts.
And now, the company has launched a free app that lets golfers track their game and club distances in real time, and manage their game with a built-in GPS rangefinder (no purchase of the Game Golf physical device is required). The app provides an aerial view of each hole, distances to key locations using the GPS feature and the ability to “tag” each shot by selecting the club used.
