Noreen Smith

Frank Howard Allen Realtors President/CEO Noreen Smith has been with the company since 1987—an unheard of feat in this fast-paced age of job jumping and no-ties career climbing. But sometimes, steady wins the race. Before joining the workforce, Smith, a San Rafael native, earned an associate degree in business management from College of Marin, a bachelors in business administration and an MBA in strategic leadership and technology from Dominican University, and a California real estate license.

“I applied for an accounts payable job [with FHA] in 1987, when my then-current employer was shutting down its Marin operation. The rest is history,” she says. For the record, she was promoted to the top spot in 2008. Charged with managing the organization, Smith says, “I’m very organized and fairly quick at decisions.” Those skills must also come into play at home, where she and her husband juggle the demands of work and life with two children, ages 9 and 4.
