That’s Nuts!

U Gottabee Nutz, a new specialty food from Don Sebastiani & Sons, features healthy, flavored, dry-roasted nuts made with natural ingredients. Every variety in the new line is made from delicious, non-GMO, kosher nuts and natural ingredients. They’re created in the spirit of the Mediterranean diet with emphasis on plant-based foods, such as whole grains and nuts, flavored with herbs and spices instead of salt.

U Gottabee Nutz is available in three varieties: rosemary and Meyer lemon almonds are a lip-smacking, savory snack that can stand up to a bold red wine; caramel and sea salt cashews create the perfect balance of salty-sweetness (try them on top of ice cream); and the balsamic habañero pistachios deliver an irresistible sweet heat that leaves you wanting more—seriously. We ate the whole bag in one sitting.

Available on grocery store shelves nationwide, U Gottabee Nutz make everyday experiences festive and memorable.

Gimme gimMe

Seaweed has been hailed by CNN as the new superfood, and called “the new kale” by the Specialty Food Association. This ocean-grown vegetable is loaded with micro-nutrients including iodine and Vitamin A, low in calories and loaded with umami flavor. It’s quickly becoming a favorite snack, and Bay Area-based gimMe Organic Seaweed is the number one brand in the United States. The company recently introduced new flavors to expand its reach among consumers: sea salt, teriyaki, sesame, wasabi and sriracha.

It’s also expanded with a wonderfully addictive rice and seaweed chip that tastes more like a hearty tortilla or corn chip than you’d expect—nutty, crunchy and ready for dip. It also comes in teriyaki, sea salt, sriracha and wasabi.

The United States is now the leading consumer of Korean-grown seaweed, and gimMe’s Korean-born founder Anne Chun (with her husband, Steve Broad) is happy to take credit for the surge.

Cheesy Goodness

Goat cheese can be soft and delicate or bold and tangy, making it a versatile culinary delight. If you’re looking for a new way to enjoy artisan chèvre, family-owned Sonoma Belle has introduced three delicious options. Chevoo (“SHAY-voo”) immerses high-quality goat curd with aromatic spices, herbs, pollens and chilis in botanical-infused extra virgin olive oil.

Chevoo is available in three incarnations—smoked sea salt and rosemary, California dill pollen and garlic, and Aleppo-Urfa chili and lemon—perfect for impromptu get-togethers, elegant entertaining or elevating a home-cooked meal.

Break bread and slather on the cheese, then dip your next piece in the oil. Multi-task on a salad: crumble cheese to garnish and use the oil in a dressing. Think pizza, grilled veggies, pasta or bagels. There’s no wrong way.
