Looking for a premium, wine—no corkscrew required—in a sleek, Eco-friendly container to pack for outdoor adventures this summer? Check out the wines offered by WineSociety, a premium bottle-alternative wine company based in Napa. CEO Angela Allison founded the company in 2018 with the vision to bring great quality wines to households across America—in a can. “Wine has been marketed and packaged the same way for years, but today’s consumer is a lot different than yesterdays. People are more mindful about the environment and seek out Eco-friendly products when possible,” she says. “The can was the obvious choice as it is 100% recyclable, has a lower carbon footprint, less waste and provides more flexibility for enjoyment anytime, anywhere!”

Allison works with California growers from notable wineries and AVAs to create a variety of blends available in the company’s signature 500ml cans, inspired by the ever-popular half-carafes of vino available in Italy. There are three great blends: TEMPT is a Syrah blend (65%) with Petite Syrah, Petite, Verdot, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon; FATE is primarily a Chardonnay blend (75%) with Albarino; CHANCE is an equal blend of Zinfandel, Syrah and Barbara; and CHANCE Bubbles is a bubbly version of the same Zinfandel, Syrah and Barbera blend. WineSociety’s vino is the first canned wine to be awarded top-tier ratings, receiving 94 points in the 2019 International Wine & Spirits Competition. What’s more, they’re about 90 calories per serving and low in sugar.

The canned wines are available at Whole Foods and Walmart. Or, join the wine club for quarterly shipments. For more information, visit winesociety.com.
