After graduating from Stellenbosch University in the Western Cape with a degree in oenology and viticulture, Dawkins went on to work harvest jobs and winemaking positions in vinicultural hubs as varied as Stellenbosch, Margaret River, Australia, and Saint-Emillon, France.
