The 2023 Sonoma International Film Festival raised its curtains last month, welcoming several notables from the worlds of cinema and food. Opening night entry Jules, starring Oscar-winner Ben Kingsley, enjoyed its world premiere March 22 at the Sebastiani Theatre. Jules went on to win the Stolman Audience Award for best feature at the festival.

  • Actress Karen Allen attended the festival in support of her starring role in A Strange Twilight.

  • Chef Joanne Weir, shown here with husband Joe Ehrlich, hosted a March 25 luncheon to showcase her new PBS cooking show "Joanne Weir's Wine Country Cooking"

  • Chef Martin Yan, shown here with festival director Ginny Kreiger, was feted at the March 23 Chefs & Shorts dinner.
