Paradise Ridge Winery, located in Santa Rosa, can serve as a beautiful backdrop for any wedding, private party, or company event.
NorthBay biz readers have cast their votes and once again Paradise Ridge Winery’s beautiful vineyards and delectable wines have earned the winery Best Wine Tasting Room in the Best of the North Bay 2024 competition.
It all became a reality in 1995 when Walter and Marijke Byck found their paradise. Planting their passion and love for the community into the property, Paradise Ridge grew into the known winery it is today.
Located in Santa Rosa, the winery consists of 155 acres worth of vineyards, the property adorned with art sculptures and breathtaking sunsets serve as backdrop. It’s no wonder patrons have recognized the value in this wine tasting experience.

“A family member is present and available to talk about the sculptures, the Nagasawa history and share a glass of sauvignon blanc,” says Rene Byck, proprietor at Paradise Ridge. This is only one feature that keeps the tasting room standing out from the rest.
After the 2017 fires ran through the property, Paradise Ridge stands stronger every year as it continues to recover. The Byck family is excited to share their production facility, which is back on site, with all visitors.
“This will give more accessibility for our club members and visiting guests to have more opportunities to enjoy the production side of the business,” says Byck.
Byck also mentions the team has curated a group of events to enhance the guest experience. This will include hikes through the vineyards, picnics, themed events, chocolate pairings and game days.
It is important to the Byck family that everyone finds enjoyment when they visit the property. Whether intending to sip wine, hang out or just walk through the sculpture garden, Byck and the rest of the family want to “share their paradise with all who visit.”
The Paradise Ridge team believes supporting each other within the company leads to great interactions with guests. According to Byck, the team is a “hospitable group” with multiple staff members available to greet guests as soon as they walk through the door.
The family shares what they love with their guests, from food and wine to a great time spent together.
The philanthropic and hospitable nature of the Byck family is rooted in every part of the winery. “We truly want our guests to have a great time here and when guests have a great time, sales goals and club goals tend to show that narrative of the guest experience,” says Byck.
The staff is looking forward to a year full of events where they can continue to have fun with guests. “You’ll see our staff closing out the party when it comes to dancing, singing and just enjoying all the activities we have going on here,” says Byck.
