Kim Martinez
Kim Martinez, a former digital sales director for Audacy broadcasting company, has been tapped by Santa Rosa-based media company Amaturo Sonoma Media Group as market manager for its portfolio of nine radio stations, Waterdrop Digital Marketing, Country Summer music festival and NorthBay biz magazine.
Martinez comes to ASMG from her most recent position as senior vice president at Audacy.com in Portland, Oregon, where she was responsible for managing a portfolio of seven radio stations and sports partnerships with the Oregon Ducks and Seattle Seahawks.
“Under her leadership, her team of over 50 employees drove significant revenue growth and maintained a strong commitment to local community engagement,” ASMG officials said in a press release.
In her new position, Martinez will “lead ASMG’s growth and further strengthen its presence in Sonoma County,” according to the announcement.
Martinez is a graduate of Chico State University, majored in Media Arts and started her career working at the Chico State radio station.
According to ASMG owner Lawrence Amaturo, Martinez’s passion for media and community-driven initiatives aligns perfectly with ASMG’s mission to connect local businesses with engaged audiences through innovative radio and digital marketing solutions. “Kim’s digital work in all 45 of Audacy’s U.S. markets gives us a huge new directive for our client base,” Amaturo said.
Martinez said she’s “thrilled with this new chapter in my life” and looks forward to adding value at ASMG. “I am also excited to become part of the wonderful community in Sonoma County, and I can’t wait to contribute to the continued success of the company,” she said.
