Deva Marie Proto, County Clerk-Recorder-Assessor-Registrar of Voters, reminds Sonoma County residents that the last day to register to vote for the Nov. 3, 2020, Consolidated General Election, is Oct. 19, 2020.
To be eligible to register to vote, one must be a U.S. citizen, at least 18 years old on or before Election Day, and not in prison or on parole for the conviction of a felony.  Voters who have recently moved or changed their name should re-register by the Oct. 19 deadline.  Residents who miss the deadline still have the option to “conditionally” register and vote in person; please contact the Registrar of Voters Office for further details.
Eligible voters can register online at https://registertovote.ca.gov.  In addition, postage-paid paper forms are available at many public and government offices including city halls, post offices, and the Sonoma County Registrar of Voters Office.  Completed forms returned by mail must be postmarked by the Oct. 19 deadline; forms may also be hand-delivered to the Registrar of Voters Office 24/7 drive-thru drop box.
For more information about voter registration or other election matters, call (707) 565-6800, email rov-info@sonoma-county.org, or visit the Registrar of Voters Office in person at 435 Fiscal Drive, Santa Rosa, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (excluding holidays).
