Bricoleur Vineyards: A New Tasting Menu/Winter Bliss at Hotel Healdsburg

James Beard Award-winning chefs Charlie Palmer and Nate Appleman recently partnered with the culinary team at Bricoleur Vineyards as advisors to create a new, six-course pairing menu named “Rooted.” The menu pairs Bricoleur wines with inventive dishes made from ingredients grown on the estate.

The Hanson Family, which owns Bricoleur Vineyards, laid down roots in Sonoma County in the 1800s when co-founder Elizabeth Hanson’s great-grandfather became the original oenologist for Sonoma County’s historic Italian Swiss Colony. The Hanson’s extended family is now five generations deep into Sonoma County winemaking, and the new tasting menu is an ode to the generations who led the way. “Partnering with Chef Palm and Chef Appleman has been a joy for our culinary team,” said Mark Hanson, co-founder and CEO. “Our family is rooted in Sonoma County and this new tasting menu is rooted in our love of farming, elegant wines, fine food and the Sonoma community.”

Bricoleur’s wines are the star of this plant-to-plate offering and the winery’s in-house culinary team crafts dishes that bring out the best characteristics in the wines. The new Rooted tasting is $95 per person. The winery is open Thursday through Monday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. by appointment only. Reservations can be made by visiting bricoleurvineyards.com or by calling (707) 857-5700.
