ER Sawyer Jewelers has been a family run business for over 140 years, since founder Frank Sawyer opened up his original watch and clock shop in 1879. The store was run by Frank and later his son Elbert for 60 years before being sold to Allan and Virginia Flood in 1949 who later passed the store on to their daughter and son–in-law Kathleen and Robert Van Dyke.
Today, the store is run by Kathleen and Robert’s son Douglas Van Dyke, who took the reigns in 2002, and his wife Ame who, together, have continued the tradition of being an active part of the local community. The business has jewelry stores located in both downtown Santa Rosa and St. Helena, as well as a gift shop, The Store Next Door, specializing in products made by small businesses and artisans, located next door to their Santa Rosa jewelry store.

One of the few jewelers in the state with an accredited and certified “gemologist appraiser” on site, as well as well as having been designated an Accredited Gem Lab by the American Gem Society, ER Sawyer Jewelers is proud to continue their pursuit of achieving the highest standards in the industry.
